Sometimes we photographers just run out of ideas of what to shoot. A practice that I implement at times like that is to pick a random topic that causes me to look at things with a renewed focus. One of these themes I have been using lately is “red.” Whenever I am out with my camera I am always looking for red things and have amassed quite a portfolio of red minutia that would have otherwise escaped my attention. Here are a few examples:
I’m a sucker for shutters (hmmmm, another random theme in the making).
Red on red at Old Car City.
Nature is abound with gorgeous reds.
Textured red is a double whammy.
Red enhanced with turquoise. I love this combination.
