Our f/4 hike through Cedars of Lebanon State Park was,  Sue has said in her post,  an experience of limited subject matter- or so I thought. Surrounded by green and trees all around, it was at first hard to differentiate and focus. Where is the distinctive amid all the sameness of color and shape? Quickly up the trail I set simple guidelines for myself: glancing down, glancing out, and glancing up.

On this day it was the patterns displayed in “up” that most tweaked my imagination and invited playfulness in post-production. My lesson from this hike? There is always more than initially meets the eye.
