Experimenting With The Lensbaby

There are no great limits to growth because there are no limits of human intelligence, imagination, and wonder.”
~ Ronald Reagan

I woke up this morning to a beautiful foggy morning with glorious dew drops on the irises blooming in my garden.  Fellow f4 studio photographer Renee Lowery had loaned me her Lensbaby artistic lens and I had yet to give it a try.  This morning seemed like a perfect morning to take it out for a ‘test drive.’

Being perfectly honest, I wasn’t quite sure I was using the lens correctly and I wasn’t quite sure if I would have pleasing results.  After a few minutes of trial and error, I found myself ‘in the zone.’  Following processing several of the images, I knew I was ‘in love.’

One of the reasons I enjoy being a member of f4 studio is that personal growth is continually encouraged within the group.  We imagine.  We wonder.  We encourage and support.

This morning I experienced growth by wondering what images could result from trying a new lens.

How about you.  How do you grow in your photography?
