One simply can’t visit historic Mount Olivet Cemetery without noticing the majestic statues that hold such a prominent presence. Like most all photographers, I simply had to pause, ponder, and, of course, photograph.
Strolling only a small portion of the 200 acre cemetery, the fresh new growth of spring spoke of the promise of hope and new life.
Many signs of love and remembrance were evident. This message kept playing in my mind: Our loved ones may no longer be physically with us, but they certainly are not forgotten.
I can almost hear the family of this loved one singing, “Allelujah! Christ is risen from the grave. We are one with him again. Come awake. Come awake. Come and rise up from the grave. Rise up from the grave.” (Christ is Risen – lyrics by Matt Maher)
