Foggy Perspective

As I walked past the entrance to Seaman’s Church Institute in Paducah, Ky,  a riverboat captain said to me  “I hope you enjoyed your walk on the riverfront in the fog and got some good pictures.  The conditions are wonderful for photography, but oh-so-dangerous for us.”

Not once during my peaceful, meditative early morning walk did danger enter my mind. My only thoughts were of solitude, quiet, mystery, and beauty.

It’s fascinating how learning the perspective of another person can change how we see the world.
