For several years now, I have been building a body of work around what I am calling for the moment meditation pieces. Buddhists and Hindus use as a part of their meditative practice mandalas. Christians sit before icons for spiritual focus and development. Living in a culture that appears at all fronts to be in a frenzied state of permanent distraction, I wonder if sitting before a photographic meditative piece for a few minutes each day might move a seeker of peace into the quiet, focus, and ultimately compassion that resides at the center of our lives.
It’s just a wonderment. However, at the edges of my photographic practice, I play, I experiment, I create. In this blog I share several of my images. I’m wondering…I’m wondering if they might over time open the eyes of our heart.

These are stunning! And I think they would invite me into quiet meditation. Thank you!
