Autumn in Connecticut

There are many things I miss about autumn in my home state: the colors, the crisp air, the tang of wood smoke and cortland apples. It makes my feel melancholy. I often feel like an alien is this land called the South and I find myself missing my northern friends in an almost primal way. I’m a New Englander through and through.

One of the most beautiful areas in Connecticut is the coast, below at Stony Creek. It is a New England at its finest.
