It is not everybody who when choosing photogenic Maine as a site for making images would visit an abandoned stone quarry. However, there was some sort of attraction that drew my photo friend and me to the Long Cove quarry.
Perhaps it was the boldness of the stones

Whatever it was, I am grateful for this casual Maine stroll that opened my eyes and even my heart to the mysteries embedded in ordinary, bold boulders.
