If Walls Could Talk

One simply cannot gaze at the magnificent – often centuries old – structures in Italy and Spain without a sense of wonder and amazement.

As so many have done before, I found myself pondering questions like “Who designed this? How many people did it take to build this? How long did it take to build this?”  And, as much as I consider the phrase  “If walls could talk…” somewhat hackneyed, that is exactly what I found myself silently wondering.

A small sample of what captured my attention on my recent travels follows.

Your photos train my novice eye to look deeper. Not to JUST see a building, but to feel the designer’s focus in lifting out intricacy amidst structure! Thank you for deepening my seeing of the world around me!
