The World of Super Macro

When I had a chance to borrow a friend’s super macro lens I left at the chance. I got to play with it for a couple of days and one of my first go-to subjects was feather. These cardinal feathers are actually quite small.

How fascinating to see all the little hairs (fur?) that they are composed of.

Next was a blue jay feather.

Finally, a goose down feather (most likely “harvested” from a pillow).

I was really mesmerized by these up-close looks of nature’s ingenuity.
