A Movement in Time

Anticipating our wedding anniversary, my spouse Charles and I, while visiting in California in May, treated ourselves to a dining experience on the Napa Valley Wine Train. Making a meal run twice a day on the thirty-six miles of track laid through the middle of Napa Valley,  the train travels at a speed of eight to twelve miles per hour, a leisurely pace that peeked my curiosity. What might be the impact of the train speed on a photographic image set at a slow shutter speed? I couldn’t resist.

I kept at it…

Just an experiment…a moment of play…which I continue occasionally as I walk down a sidewalk or ride down the highway with the passenger’s window rolled down (and someone else in the driver’s seat.)

At first I thought I should run for my glasses to clear things up. Ha Ha. Then I began to get an ‘other worldly’ sense. That I was seeing ‘through’ my limits and into another dimension. It does bring a sense of ‘let it be’ peacefulness when I let go of trying to change what is, to what I think it should be. Good lesson in SEEING, Sharon. Thanks for the journey.
