One of my favorite activities when we have a snowy or icy day is to set up my tripod in my kitchen window and photograph the birds (and other animals) that frequent my feeder. I have quite a large family of cardinals (I once counted 18 at one time) that are here everyday but once and a while I’ll get a towhee or wood pecker. It can be a challenge to shoot through glass and I have plenty of blurry images to show for it but I have such fun.
