Reflecting on Reflections

Photographers love reflections.

Water, of course, draws us like flies. The image above is at such a famous place that photographers line up at dawn to get the quintessential shot. Fortunately, photographers as a rule are pretty polite. An early morning on a quiet pond is what we drool over.

When I was working on my Laundry Room Series (short story: shot in my laundry room to control light) I experimented by putting my subjects on a piece of frosted glass to add another dimension to the image.

Urban glass is another great reflector. Here, our iconic Batman building is reflecting in a nearby building.

But, we will use just about anything. Puddles, rain drops, and even, hub caps.
