Once again it has happened! That dreaded slump that photographers often encounter; a slump that often presents itself especially in the extreme heat of summer or cold of winter.
So, what’s a gal to do? Play a little! Have a little fun! Get out and try something creative, new and different!
Using flowers from my garden I tried what might be considered a novel concept: freezing leaves and blossoms in water.
With little control over exactly how the subjects would end up in their frozen state, composition was somewhat determined by chance, not choice. And, often that is what contributes to the playful spirit in pieces like this.
I think I won’t tell my granddaughter that I’ve taken “Frozen” to an entirely different realm!
