A few years ago I attended an exhibit at the Centennial Art Center Gallery. It was a lovely space with a hardworking and enthusiastic staff so I gave them my name to add to their list of potential exhibitors. Late last summer I was finally offered a spot in their first show of 2013.
At the time I was knee-deep in shooting my series The Meadow and it gave me the impetus to continue and complete it because this was what I wanted to show. It turned out to be a great exercise in self-curating and learning to put together a cohesive body of work.
The exhibit will be coming down at the end of the month and hopefully when I go to pick up my work there will be a few that found a new home. But if not, it was still a worthwhile endeavor.
